Description

She completed her studies in the summer of 2016 at the National University of Arts in Bucharest (Department of Photography and Video), after previously studying at Chelsea College of Art & Design in London (2009–2010) and the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp (2010–2011). She is considered one of the distinctive voices of a young generation of European contemporary art.

Her artistic practice is interdisciplinary, encompassing photography, installation, sculpture, and video works. Starting from a theoretical and literary perspective, her works explore the relationship between the human body and its environment, as well as the redefinition of this theme in terms of post-humanism. Concepts of geological time and our intense interconnection with the environment shape an original contemporary aesthetic of coexistence within an organic and biological technosphere.

Her works have been presented in numerous institutional exhibitions and renowned art venues across Europe and beyond, including museums and project spaces in Berlin, Vienna, London, and Bucharest.

In addition to solo exhibitions, Inescu regularly participates in international group exhibitions addressing current discourses on contemporary sculpture and installation practices. Her works have been included in important art collections and presented in curatorial contexts that engage with ecological and technological questions of the future.
