Painter and sculptor Helge Leiberg receives Brandenburg Art Prize

The painter and sculptor Helge Leiberg has been honoured with the Brandenburg Art Prize for his life’s work. Minister President Dietmar Woidke (SPD) presented the 10,000 euro prize on Sunday at Neuhardenberg Castle in the Märkisch-Oderland district.

In his laudatory speech, Woidke honoured the 68-year-old’s creativity, creative power and diversity. His art shows what unites and defines people ‘beyond all borders’, emphasised the Minister President. Leiberg had already been honoured with the Brandenburg Art Prize in 2013, back then in the painting category.
