“The painter Tom Messavilla explores the world of memories and their multi-layered spaces. His works sometimes unfold like labyrinthine landscapes, while others produce individual objects that seek to capture specific situations or moods, while leaving room for individual associations. Memories often serve as the starting point for his art, turning into sketchy texts and then becoming a reconstructed reality on the canvas.
